Looking forward to a BRAND NEW YEAR!

I don't know about any of you, but 2010 has been one of the most trying years of my life. Nothing catastrophic happened, but not many good things did, either. To avoid a self-thrown pity party, I won't go into detail... I just really hope that things only get better from here.

I have been home with my kids for almost a year now, which is a huge blessing, but sometimes life gets crazy! Any fellow stay at home mommys agree with me? It is a hard, 24 hour per day job! I love getting to spend so much time with my children! They are the light of my life. I never knew how much I could love another person until I became a mother. They crack me up all day long! As a matter of fact, I sometimes have trouble keeping a straight face while diciplining if they do something cute.

Caden is growing into such a big boy! He decided a few weeks ago to start using the potty, and it has been going wonderfully! We have even started venturing out in public wearing "undies". :) We are so very proud of him. He loves to sing and will often just start doing it on his own. A few of his favorites are the Abc song, Row your boat, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, and some of the theme songs to the Disney shows that they watch. He tries my patience all day, but melts my heart at the same time. I love my little stinker so much!

Laica is doing the best that she can to keep up with Caden. She is talking SO much! It is so fun to hear her repeat what we say and to be able to recognize new words that she is picking up! She has the cutest little run I have ever seen! She is such a ham and knows exactly what to do to make us laugh! Laica is a wonderful eater, she practically runs to the kitchen for breakfast as soon as she gets out of bed.

Our family had a wonderful Christmas, the kids got entirely too much stuff, but they love it! Caden got some train sets. We have set up the Thomas one, and he has been playing with it non-stop! I am going to have to get rid of some baby toys and equipment soon, we have so much stuff in our spare room!

Wishing everyone a very happy new year!! We are making the journey to Gainesville to spend new year's eve night at my mom's house. Really hoping my sister, Heather, and her girls will be able to come, too!
